-Mighty Number 9 had everyone rooting for it, then against it, which is sad, since as more and more news came out, it was clear there was a lot that was mismanaged.
Mediocre games come out all the time, and they get a shrug at most, but the development behind Mighty Number 9's just compounded the emotions behind what would have otherwise been an OK game, leaving many crying like an anime fan on prom night. I'm not entirely sure how Mega Man 9 and 10 did if those were better spiritual successors, but Jim (Fucking) Sterling (son) did a pretty good recap of all the foibles during the past 3 years:

At least we'll always have Shovel Knight.

After the snap with Allison Rapp, Nintendo would be a little more gunshy about this kind of thing. One more line, of "I AM NOT A CROOK!" and then that Toad jumping out the window would have suffice. Because people jumping out of windows because they're awkward is never not funny.

Paolo brought up an excellent point about Watch_Dogs when his brother said "I can do everything I'm doing here in GTA, I'd rather play that". There's too much effort in being the best and you cant always be the best. It requires way less effort to be different and good.

-FUN FACT: Apparently Heavy Weapons Guy's $200 bullets are melted down from rare coins. Wouldn't that make the bullets more expensive as time goes on, because the bullets are becoming rarer?
