In Fallout: New Vegas with a high enough speech skill, you can actually talk the Big Bad Legate Lanius into calling off his attack on the NCR and going home without a fight.
"Cats are notorious for their racism"- Rhythm Bastard
While I could be Real Life Squirrel Girl, The Unbeatable Squriel Girl is REALLY GOOD. Art by Erica Henderson and writing by Ryan North, it's definitely worth picking up.
You know, I really liked the Sly Cooper games on the PS2, and I heard they were doing a movie! I wonder how that looks...
Hmmm... they don't look too bad in the more realistic style, but I think between this and the Ratchet and Clank movie, there should-
MURRAY WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR FACE
ECHO CHAMBER EPISODE 171
-Mighty Number 9 had everyone rooting for it, then against it, which
is sad, since as more and more news came out, it was clear there was a
lot that was mismanaged.
Mediocre games come out all the time, and they get a shrug at most,
but the development behind Mighty Number 9's just compounded the
emotions behind what would have otherwise been an OK game, leaving many
crying like an anime fan on prom night. I'm not entirely sure how Mega
Man 9 and 10 did if those were better spiritual successors, but Jim
(Fucking) Sterling (son) did a pretty good recap of all the foibles
during the past 3 years:
At least we'll always have Shovel Knight.
And this dope Mega Ran track:
-So here are the two screenshots we were talking about from The New Paper Mario Not Thousand Year Door:
After the snap with Allison Rapp, Nintendo would be a little more
gunshy about this kind of thing. One more line, of "I AM NOT A CROOK!"
and then that Toad jumping out the window would have suffice. Because
people jumping out of windows because they're awkward is never not
funny.
-Jeff, watch this and tell me if you still love Bubsy:
-This is the outside of Magic The Gathering Battlegrounds:
-This is the inside of Magic The Gathering: Battlegrounds:
The shirtless guy with cyber armor was actually in the Red banner in the cover.
-My favorite thing about Zork that's not the orgy scene (I imagine)
-Also a tutorial for how to play it in Black Ops:
JimQuisition on violence:
Paolo brought up an excellent point about Watch_Dogs when his brother
said "I can do everything I'm doing here in GTA, I'd rather play that".
There's too much effort in being the best and you cant always be the
best. It requires way less effort to be different and good.
-Some 90's cringe from 2003:
-Dark Cloud 2 is a such good commercial:
-FUN FACT: Apparently Heavy Weapons Guy's $200 bullets are melted
down from rare coins. Wouldn't that make the bullets more expensive as
time goes on, because the bullets are becoming rarer?
But Hurricane Erica was a Tropical Storm then fizzled out.
-HOW DARE YOU! How dare you not cater to my tastes exactly?
HOW DARE YOU acknowledge other people in the world?
HOW DARE YOU HAMDIX for not making the soundtrack be exclusively
Avenged Sevenfold and Dragonforce? What's with all this obscure hipster
bullshit like "The Who" and "Elvis Presley"?
HOW DARE YOU call me a faggot online! I'm not gay, I fucked your mom! You're the faggot!
HOW DARE YOU say "Black Lives Matter"! I'm not black, arer you saying
my life doesn't matter even though white people are treated with way
more respect in diginity in similar situations?
HOW DARE YOU cut
in front of me in line you old hag? You're like 90, you can fucking wait
like 20 minutes for me to argue with the cashier over a coupon.

AS OF RIGHT NOW, it seems like a
neat little unlocking thing, but is seems to set up a bad precendent,
especially with the Amiibo scarcity. But I can see them doing somethng
where you can buy the related DLC for the same price since it unlocks
stuff among different games/systems.
-Super Mario Maker/Kaizo Mario is what happens when a Game Designer
actively hates you and wants to hide in the bushes while you play and
giggle at your failure. Most game deves passively hate you where it's
like "Eh, we could fix this, but nah" Kaizo Mario is a 72 oz, Steak Challenge of a game, only two minutes in you realize you suck at eating. Kaizo Mario is the "let's make smaller paddles!" bit from That 70's Show.
-The Consuming Shadow, while not game of the year material is still a
refreshing game, in that it goes hard on one thing (puzzle
solving/logic puzzle) while being part of another (survival horror).
What TCS reminded me the most of was this logic puzzle:
Albert Einstein once posed a brain teaser that he predicted only
2% of the worlds population would be able to solve.
FACTS:
1. There are 5 houses in 5 different colours.
2. In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
3. These 5 owners drink a certain beverage, smoke a certain brand
of cigarette and keep a certain pet.
4. No owners have the same pet, brand of cigaratte, or drink.
CLUES:
1. The Brit lives in a red house
2. The Swede keeps a dog
3. The Dane drinks tea
4. The green house is on the left of the white house.
5. The green house owner drinks coffee.
6. The person who smokes Pall Mall keeps birds.
7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8. The man living in the house right in the center drinks milk
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats
11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill
12. The owner who smokes Camel drinks beer
13. The German smokes Marlborough.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house
15. The man who smokes Blend has a neighbour who drinks water.
The question is, who keeps the fish?
See if you can answer it in the comments!
-What's this snow shit they all keep talking about? It was 40 here in Florida, and it was freezing, so I have problems too.

-Saxaphone solos in 2011:
"Edge Of Glory" by Lady Gaga
"Last Friday Night" by Katy Perry
"Jamie" by Akira The Don
-Raising our chocolate rations from 30 grams to 20 grams is a reference to 1984. If I can find a way to put that in an elegant way I'd make it a regular saying.
-1099 is absolute bullshit. I don't think I've had any good job where I was paid on a 1099. If it looks like a real job, smells like a real job, and you get paid on 1099, RUN.
-Steak and Blowjob Day is March 14th. Somethinng tells me this was created by the same people who say the HATE HATE HATE VALENTINES DAY CAUSE IT'S SO BULLSHIT WE WONT DO ANYTHING.

-"Could God make his dong so massive, even he could not suck it?" "You can't spell dong without God"
-Anyone catch the Homeless YuGiOh player call back?
-Super Win The Game IndieBox:
-So here's the news on the casting breakdowns. If you read the leaked script, Wham! is an appropriate working title, kinda like how Avengers was "Group Hug" and Captain America was "Freezer Burn" which both sound like Steven Segal movies that come on in 2 in the afternoon on a Wednesday. CopyCat, Ajax, Weasel and Blind Al are all for a lock. I really hope this doesn't turn into Deadpool: The Game: The Movie
-The best thing about these episodes is that I always go "MAN! I should totally animate that!" then I think "Fuck! I have a 8-to-5 job! Fuck!"
-YuGiOh is always a tricky dick with me. Though I did take my brother to a sneak preview event for one of the sets a few months ago, and pulled a $50 card. He should have sold it, but instead he traded it for stuff in the decks he'll never play. I try to get him to go to the stuff my FNM location has, but he always finds some reason to bail "I DON'T HAVE MY PERFECT DECK! I WORK! I DIDN'T DO SO WELL LAST TIME!"
Unlike Magic, sets don't really have a theme, like Theros and Greek/Roman mythology. Instead of playtest and design making sure the flavor of the card and mechanics are juuuust right, YGO just goes "YO, MOTHERFUCKER, HAMBURGER ROBOTS!!!" and calls it a day. Then it puts a page and a half of rules text on the card whereas MtG would go like "Hexproof" or "Trample" only occasionally giving you reminder text.
BUT YO, HAVE YOU SEEN THESE HAMBURGER ROBOTS? USE THEIR LASER EYES TO ZAP THE BELLY BUTTON OF THE HIPPO KING DEVIL LANCER AND HIS CROWN FALLS ON TOP OF YOU FOR 7000 LIFE POINTS.
"Not so fast, Yugi-"
WHAT?
"I activate my trap card, Digital Data Apocalypse! It allows me to exile 5 cards into the the graveyard, including your Hamburger Robots!"
HMM! I BELIEVE IN THE HEART OF THE CARDS!!! AND MY FAITH HAS REWARDED ME WITH...GO-GO HENSHIN SYNCRO PYRONMATRIX!!!
you get the idea. But doesn't that sound like a REAL Yu-Gi-Oh match?
Interesting premise, but you can tell the game was meant for maximum drama and parental confusion, as the original manga was DBZ with cardboard rectangles instead of fists.
Now that I think about it, Yugi Moto isn't that good at the game. His power seems to just topdeck whatever he needs and POWAR OF FREENDSHUP!!!
-Speaking of Kingdom Hearts, this is always relevant:
-The image Mystakin was talking about:
I wonder what the FFXIV equivalent of pot would be like. Phoenix Down? Ether? Salve would seem to fit the bill, since it sounds so much like salvia.
-Rocksmith, still a good game. This week's DLC, The Libertines, was underwhelming, but it's always good to see them mix shit around from week to week. As long as they go metal one week, then punk, classic rock, alternative, etc. it should keep people happy for at least the next edition. Rock Band had a lot of off weeks as well, but it also had the Rock Band Network in later incarnations to help smooth things out.
I'm approaching the point where some songs I have to slow down and go in to Riff Repeater, and I think that will be the point where most people either double down on "I WILL MASTER YOU GUITAR-OO BAN-KAAIIIII!!!!" or go "Eh, I'll play this Radiohead song I kinda know again." only to drop it after another month.
If you don't know who he is, watch here.I'm glad Matt and Woolie managed to fit this guy into so many awesome videjo games.
Shovel Knight is pretty dope. $15 bucks get you a mishmash of all your favorite NES Platformers, that manages to be its own thing. AND it's got a New Game Plus.
