Yeah, this week's been kinda bleh for me. I've got a lot of concepts up in the air, my Dad's still recovering and his eyesight hasn't recovered fully, so I've had to be on call to help him with all the work he's doing from home.
HOWEVER, I have been in contact with some cool peeps regarding the cover art for "Status Quo Radio", so that's been pushing me along.
Also, UMICON RECAP VIDEO!

Echo Chamber Post Game Episode 95
THIS IS CALLED NEW ECHO CHAMBER PODCAST
-You see this clutch? THAT WAS FUCKING CLUTCH!
-Animal Crossing has always been a weird game, because who exactly is it for? Everything about the gameplay implies some kind of asynchronus multiplayer, but there's no online, and it's not quite deep enough to be this living, breathing world all on its own, ala Persona 4 (which I'll talk about next week). Online play, moving into certain people's towns can work like a guild or clan or what have you. Server side it wouldn't be too intense since you can limit it to groups of four, which is enough data to manage whenever someone does something.
You can still interact with other people as you would the Gamecube original, but now the multiplayer is way more convenient.
-Nintendo and the word New have a weird relationship. Ever since games stopped being made for the Nintendo 64 and they could stick "64" on the end of everything, they seemed to be at a loss for what to name their games. "NEW xxxxx" could only work for so long, and then what? DS worked for a while, but adding 3DS to everything seems awkward.
For something like the Mario series, it's hard to do, since subtitles aren't inherent to the Mario setting ala The Legend Of Zelda Series or Metroid (where subtitles are very common in the fantasy and sci-fi genres). I don't see why they just can't use the 3D Land/3D World thing, but then again, I'm part of Nintendo's Marketing department.
-"They buy 4 of them and try to sell them" Like this guy?
-Final Fantasy 7 8-Bit
-Sanctum Polis is an upcoming RPG that adapts the old school style ala the Chrono Series. I met up with them at Orlando Nerd Fest and it looks to be pretty good.
-Brian Reagan Fig Newtons
-Gible, is ZOMG THE CUTEST THING!!!
-The closest Fudruckers is in Penbrooke Pines, FL. Which is hella far away from me. Smash Burger is way closer and way better, and their fries look like Onion Rings. Also, an honorable mention goes to Steak N' Shake, which has hella good shakes.
Crystal Burgers are inferior to White Castles. Granted, they're both kinda shitty, but at least White Castle doesn't use MUSTARD on their burgers. Then you have Chick-Fil-A, which has pickles on their chicken sandwiches.
-Regarding Robin, I forgot Stephanie Brown, the first female Robin, and the fact that apparently Damien Wayne died, so technically there is no Robin anymore. I will go commit nerd Seppukku now (has sex with a girl)
-Now, as far as Cici's Pizza vs. Stevi B's, someone actually put together a research paper regarding this great debate.
-Timmy, Age 5:

-For those of you further behind, this is what Professor Shyguy looks like:

This is Justin Timberlake:
I REPORT, YOU DECIDE!!! Mostly Mystakin decides. If he wants to fuck Professor Shyguy.

Status Quo Sunday Recruits You For The U.M.I.
I'm patting myself on the back for that one. Show went as best as it could be. A little harried from the early morning drive, but I got to meet up with everyone, play some Magic and shoot some pool, which I haven't done since sophomore year of college.
It's another week where RAW's on, and I was too wiped out Sunday to do this, so let's go with two sentence recaps, shall we?
UMICON MUSIC INITIATIVE- While it wasn't that big, I loved working with all of these people and I feel that if they advertise it as a "Big Event" for next year, even with the same lineup,
S.S. HANAMI- Solid as always, and ended the last song with James, their bassist, played the ending with a violin bow. It's good when bands let the rhythm section let loose.
RHYTHM BASTARD- Obviously the most talented and best looking act on the card, who can lift 2000 pounds and had sex with ALL the groupies. Even with a small crowd and a broken string, RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT.
THE COG IS DEAD- Good crowd, good music, good times. Covered "Still Alive" and "Firefly Theme", but if they REALLY wanted to play to the crowd, they would have played "Freebird" when I yelled it one of the 80 times because I really meant it and wasn't trying to be obnoxious I swear you guys.
GEEKAPELLA- They perfectly rounded out the U.M.I. Where everyone had a mix of genres and instruments, they had none and switched on the fly. YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!
MAGIC THE GATHERING CELEBRITY DRAFT- Played some Limited Magic with Aaron Dismuke and Justin Cook, alongside some newbie drafters who passed me some AWESOME stuff to where I could make a UB Constellation Deck. Played against Aaron in the Semi-Finals, lost, but he gave me two packs of Journey Into Nyx.
SATURDAY NIGHT- One arrest, like, seven very awkward drunk people, and a million rounds of pool. An older drunken gentleman showed me where he got stabbed, which did make the night feel pretty badass.
SUNDAY- Didn't catch much actually, played a couple guerilla shows then read "Half Life Full Life Consequences" for a group of people. Was told I had a voice for radio and a face for TV by one of the voulenteers.
Also, I met one of the guys who I met up with last year before the Quiton Flynn Panel. They ended up get super drunk and loud.
Music coming next week! Just sent out the e-mail to all the artists.

Echo Chamber Post Game Episode 94
ECHO CHAMBER wants you to download it!
-SHULK CONFIRMED:
-This is Project M
All you need is an SD card and a copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It seems easy enough to get set up. I might have to take it for a spin.
FIGHT THE POWA!

-Pokken? Sure, why not! The part I always envied the most about the Pokemon cartoon is when the Pokemon FUCKING DODGE. Magic: The Gathering got it right when you can be like, "Nah, I'm just gonna step aside"
-The story of Persephone and Hades is one of the biggies in Greek Mythology, and is the explanation for why we have Fall and Winter.
Remember kids, Greek Gods have more fun!
-We do go a bit into the Zoe Quinn/Anita Sarkeesian stuff, but so many people have said it before, and the main thing is that we don't need to ditch the word "Gamer". I'm a gamer, because my preferred way to pass the time is video games.
We need to be more questioning about the status quo, because as recent reports show, that is changing.
And this ties in to the whole insecurity thing I mentioned last week: Why should you care?
What does it matter who's playing the video games that are going to exist regardless of who's playing them? Why does it suddenly matter what gender or skin color they are?
They're people too, and you should care about them because they're OTHER PEOPLE. It's basic consideration to not be so careless.
"BUT WHAT IF THE SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS WIN?"
The risk of that happening is so insignificant I recommend that you worry about accidentally throwing away your winning lottery ticket in the trash, then having it picked up by your identical twin.
Right now, the people in power are debating a law whether women should earn the same pay as men, not the other way around. Same-sex marriage is still banned in over half the country. During the Ferguson incident, there were people saying "WELL, A BLACK MAN SHOT A WHITE MAN THESE TIMES!" but the thing is that those black people are in prison.
A blog post or YouTube video or Tumblr post someone made isn't going to make it illegal to be cisgendered and require every one to be an otherkin and have all men castrated or whatever other thing is claimed by the SJWs. It's impossible with the current structure we have in place, and that's not how progress works.
Progress happens in steps, and the great part about that is we can always evaluate where we are and keep moving in a new direction.

Status Quo Sun- HOLY CRAP THEY'RE REPRINITNG FETCHLANDS!!!!
The Onslaught fetch lands are back, baby! #mtgktk
— Mark Rosewater (@maro254) August 31, 2014
Where was I? Oh, right. I do music on this blog!
UMICON DAYTONA
Septmeber 6th, 2014
The Plaza Resort and Spa
600 N. Atlantic Avenue
Daytona Beach Fl 32118 USA
Plaza C, 12 PM
Along with Geekapella, S.S. Hanami, The Cog Is Dead
So, I can guarantee that not one BUT TWO new songs will be played at UmiCon Daytona, with one available for download for all of you sexy people who have signed up for the mailing list.
It's going to be great seeing everyone again in the Florida Con Scene again, and now I have a Square!
The Square is a device that plugs into your cell phone so that you can process credit card transactions. It's free to pick one up, but you they take a 3% cut of the transaction. It seems like a pretty good business plan when you think of how much you're getting at any point in time.
Most importantly, this means I won't be paid in YuGiOh cards (this is a Thing That Happened)
I'm going to be there Saturday and Sunday, hoping to play as much Magic as possible, play a lot of guerilla shows, and get my free drinks.
Speaking of shows, I'm also going to be at Chibi-Pa in November. More details as they're confirmed.
After I set this up to post, I'm going finish up work on the new song, and OTHER THINGS. See you next week!
