STATE OF THE BASTARD 2020!

Don't know about you, but I'm feeling 32...

And I've stopped giving a fuck. Not in a bad, "OH WOE IS ME KIND OF WAY" or the "Hahaha I'm SOOOOO OFFENSIVE AND REBELLIOUS (by telling the same hack jokes for years) I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK (because I'm really doing this to have fascists suck my dick)" way, but it a "Why bother with regretting it?" kind of way.

You're going to get criticized for bullshit anyway so why not embrace your weirdness?

If I didn't say "fuck it, why not?" and "Yeah, and?" I would not have done all the cool stuff I did for the past 10 years.

I was WAY busier with cons this year, and I got to play a lot of newer cons.

Megaplex- My first furry convention, the same weekend as AFO. I didn't know anyone there, since any of my usual con-rades but it was really easy to make friends at the Artist Alley where I set up my merch. And just in general, really.

That, and not having to be up on the latest anime made things a lot easier, since everyone is dressed as their OC.

Lumi-Con- The Halloween to Christmas's Holiday Matsuri! EVEN THOUGH PARKING WAS WAY EASIER! This was my first time being up in Tampa, and I saw all of my favorite people there, namely Symphonic Pheenix Force and Roborob.

Alright, let's get this on!

MOST RECENT SONG: "I Want To Fuck Krampus For Christmas"

I posted about it recently, but I'm still really happy with how it turned out. Between this and my Weezer song, "Remember", this was the a song where I felt like I was clever with my lyrics again, and I haven't felt like that in a while. It bodes well for 2020 ;)

2ND FAVORITE SONG I RELEASED THIS YEAR: "Mercedes Merced"

Krampus was my favorite, and a lot of other songs were re-records, but the other song I felt really good about (that I might rerecord because that bridge was kinda weak) was "Mercedes Merced". It sounded the most profesional, and it's my writing at my most pop, but not it's still not too simple.

COOL SHIT I DID:
Play My Song About The Goon For Eric Powell, THE CREATOR OF THE GOON!

He liked it a lot ;)

Held A Marathon Livestream
For 12 hours, April 27th, 2019, I streamed for 12 hours, with various friends of mine switching out between games to raise money for my transmission. It's the closest thing to me running a con, and it shares the same ethos: Here's a bunch of my friends who do cool shit, hanging out, talking about their cool shit, and playing some games we all enjoy together.

And I WILL be doing it again!

Once a season, just to promote fun things, cool people, and help with my con costs and production of merch.

Did music for a video game: RETROMANIA WRESTLING!
While I previously did music for a wrestling game, Suplex Saga, this one looks like it will actually come out! It fucking better since there are a lot of big names involved, like the Road Warriors, Tommy Dreamer and Colt Cabana!

Retrosoft Wrestling is currently holding IndieMania, a 32-man tourney of indie wrestlers, with the winner getting a spot in the game. So far there's been a pretty good spread, and a couple names I heard through the grapevine. Two of the guys I was pulling for just because I thought their themes would be fun to rework.

PODCASTS
RPG Pals Club- I started it this year, and it's so fun to edit. This is my first long term campaign I've been a part of, and every one of our characters and so well done, and so entertaining to work with. We each come to our PC with different philosophies and different goals, and Luke, our DM, has been MORE than accommodating.

I'd Rather Not- Yep, we're still doing this. Yep, still bullshit.

Yep, still fun.

3000 BRIGADE BECAUSE IT'S A REGULAR THING I DO AND IT'S NOT TECHNICALLY A PODCAST BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO PUT IT

Last year's show was put up on YouTube earlier in July.

This year's show was a fun mix, since I got to be a Herald, Green Link, and Johnny Fucking Cage of all people!

TREND I LIKED THE LEAST: People Getting Booted Off Of Social Media For Calling Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminists TERFs

TERFs are basically people who pretend to be feminists but talk like Mens Right Activists, putting women in very narrow boxes that, like MRAs, say that you only matter when you can breed. And seems to focus more on excluding transgender people than promoting women's rights.

They get very butthurt when you call them out on their bullshit, and always search out that term, claiming it is a slur. After SonicFox was banned from Twitter for saying "Fuck Terfs", I wrote this song:

"Fuck Terfs (But Don't Have Sex With Them)"

TREND I LIKED THE MOST: Milkshaking Fascists

They take it SOOOOOOO hard! They're a group of people who are only tough because the cops are there, and when you fight back anyway, it's like all that facade disappears.

So if you've got an asshole conservative relative, just beat their ass.

Those kind of people find disrespect the most offensive thing of all, and their reaction to a punch or a milkshake is mor

FAVORITE SONG OF 2019: "Juice" by Lizzo

I first heard of this song after I found out it was the opening "Sexy Dance Number" for 2019's 3000 Brigade Show, and it's stuck with me ever since. Every time I listen to it, I find a new thing within the sound to obsess over, when it's a really simple song.

TOP 40 SONG I HATED THE LEAST: "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X Feat. Billy Ray Cyrus

Listen, you can't knock the kid, Lil Nas X made some good music this year. "Weeeeellll..." has joined the ranks of "Some-BODY" and "IT'S BEEN" in the ranks of songs that you're complelled to sing the rest of when you hear that first line. Billy Ray Cyrus's bridge makes the song feel finished and provides a great contrast between young optimism and the cynicism of a One Hit Wonder.

His EP 7 was really good, and while his rapping isn't anything stellar, he knows how to work with the beat, whether it's new wave, punk, country, etc.

2019: The People Didn't Fuck It Up!

"WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME ABOUT THIS SOONER?" AWARD: The Switch

Backlog? Why not simply clear it out whilst on the toilet?

I was able to break up this year's GOTY in to TWO Categories since I was able to play so many cool games!

OLD GAME OF THE YEAR RUNNERS UP:
5. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate- I'm not that good, BUT JUST SHOVEL THE SPIRIT BATTLES IN MY FAACCE AAAAHH I LOVE THESE REFERENCES!

4. Bastion- 90% of this game is due to the omnipresent narrator's sexy voice narrating most every move I do, the other 10% being the flowing combat.

3. Golf Story- Imagine if someone tried to make Tony Hawk's Underground 2 with the engine to GBA's Mario Golf, which is the best way to describe how Golf Story takes a singular concept of "Golf" and expands it to make a fun story mode.

2. Danganronpa 1 and 2- As batshit and Very Anime as the story can get sometimes, this series serves up dramatic and intriguing mysteries that leave me in suspense of what's to come next.

#1 OLD GAME OF THE YEAR: Hollow Knight
https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/apps/367520/header.jpg?t=1577747500
Hollow Knight scared me way more than RE2 just through its environment alone: there's bugs every where, it's dark, and every new area you are in has you without a map until you can find the seller. If you die, you have to go on a corpse run ala Dark Souls, and even then, success isn't guaranteed.

And I loved every second of it.

It has all the components of a great Metroidvania wrapped up in pleasing package that's both a joy to look at while being

The backgrounds and enemies are hand drawn, giving it this organic look that makes it feel more uncanny than if it were just cel shaded, and even with more "comforting" environments like the City of Tears or the town of Dirtmouth, there was always this overwhelming sense of dread and melancholy.

With every moment of relief in the stellar gameplay, I was further sucked into the world of Hallownest, with it's unique population trying to survive in a world that has long been left to rot.

NEW GAME OF THE YEAR RUNNERS UP:
5. Sayonara Wild Hearts- If I was more into Chvrches music, I'd put it higher because I respect the concept of a playable album so much.

4. Slay The Spire- StS takes my favorite part of Hearthstone, The Dungeon Runs, and expands it into a full on strategy game.

3. Resident Evil 2- Playing this coming off a run of REmake, RE 2 adds so many Quality of Life things, while refocusing the story to Anette Birkin in a way that signals that maybe Resident Evil would have been better off as an anthology series with more dramatic, unconnected stories as opposed to science fiction inspired by Romero.

2. Dicey Dungeons- I'm a slut for Roguelikes, but DD takes the concept of "you play it with dice" as far as it can go, seeping into the adorable character design.

#1 NEW GAME OF THE YEAR: Disco Elysium
https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/apps/632470/header.jpg?t=1577880787

I was up until 3 AM last night playing this, because there is ALWAYS another thread to pull, ALWAYS a new character you want to meet again, and ALWAYS a decision that can go horrifically wrong.

You play a detective who's lost their memory and is tasked with solving a murder, and then the game lets you go ahead. As you start to investigate, you find yourself embroiled in a union dispute that might force you to take sides to find out what's REALLY going on.

I was a fan of the Shadowrun games by Harebrained Games, because in addition to a well developed world, and interesting setting, each game has a focus on a central "hub" world that you return to in between missions, and develops as you get further along in the story.

Disco Elysium is similar, as it takes place within the small municipality of ficitional city Revachol, and while the map is maybe 3 city blocks large, it's packed to the brim with intrigue, conflicts, and writing that is at times the funniest thing ever and devastatingly bittersweet. Plus, everything looks like it was made with water color, which gives it a nice, hazy tinge that lends itself to the surreal and dreamlike story being told.

Most importantly, the game features VO by the cast of Chapo Trap House and allows you to be super Communist, so it objectively has the best politics

Catching Up Before The End Of The Decade

Hahaha, it's been a while...

NEW SONG ON PATREON: "Remember"
This is a song that I've had kicking around for a while, ever since I finished listening to the podcast
The Weezer Bracket. It was a podcast that, March Madness style in Song Vs. Song matchups, set
out to determine the Worst Weezer Song (spoiler: It was "Beverley Hills").

In the process, I've learned a couple things:
1. They have A LOT of songs that are "We're going back to our roots! We don't suck anymore, we promise!"
2. Rivers Cuomo has A LOT of weird song writing strategies.
Most fun: Adderall, tequila, and a nap on a hammock.
Least fun: A notebook full of chord progressions he refers to like a textbook.

From all of this, I kept getting the impression that Rivers Cuomo, after being embarassed by Pinkerton, got kind of... desperate for approval. One day at work, I saw that there's a special "Weezer Island" on Fortnite, and I went "HOLE- EEE SHIIIIIT"

Little by little, the song came to me.

NEW SONG ON YOUTUBE: "Mercedes Merced"

Last week, the trailer for Black Widow dropped, and while I haven't been keeping up with the Marvel movies, I have kept my eye on this one, since one of the villains is rumored to be Taskmaster.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/7c/Cover_of_Avengers-196.jpg/250px-Cover_of_Avengers-196.jpg

Taskmaster, as I've mentioned before, is one of my FAVORITE comic characters. His power, photographic reflexes, allow him to copy any movement he sees and replicate them perfectly; whether it's fighting like Iron Fist, shooting arrows like Hawkeye, or throwing his replica sheild like Captain America. He's a mercenary scumbag, but the fun kind of scumbag, where he'll interupt a villain's speech about their goals or whatever, and Tasky will be like "Don't care. Fuck you. Pay me". I love his dumb skeleton pirate costume, as well as his Tacticool Luchador from Udon, which I actually cosplayed as!

 https://66.media.tumblr.com/dfe58ffad5aa8fce9071ccb0810741df/tumblr_pl7k6vM05a1twdz6wo1_400.png

He's been explored in a variety of ways throughout the years, and the song Mercedes Merced, was inspired by his 2011 limited series, "Unthinkable". Mercedes Merced is actually Taskmaster's wife, who he forgot about over the years, as his in order to use his powers and commit it to muscle memory, his brain "forgets" an explicit memory, and the series chronicles him reconnecting with his wife, then later forgetting her again to save his life. It's a really bittersweet tale, and I recommend it immensely.

So for this song, I made it about a relationship you half remember but it ended up being way more important than you were led to believe.

HEY RHYTHM BASTARD, HOW DOES HE LOOK IN THE MOVIE?

uhhhh... WHO WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT SOME CONVENTIONS?

ANIME IWAI RECAP!
FRIDAY!
-Iwaivor Series 2019!
We crowned a champion after a lot of fighting and a lot of promo cutting. We're slowly, but surely getting a grip on how to run future events efficiently. Namely, people REALLY aren't prepared to cut promos!

Also, as we get more popular, we're going to get more crowded, and we don't want to turn anyone away, so we'll just be doing 4-man Royal Rumble Heats until we get down to Two Finalists.

-My Concert!
Went swimmingly! It was my last concert of year, and my friends at the 3KB made sure it went over big and got HYPE AS FUCK!

-3000 Brigade Show!
Maybe it's because this is my 3rd show, maybe it's because I had so many costume changes, or maybe it was just that we were super confident in our show, but this year flew by.

First I was a Herald for the Fort Knights from Fortnite, then I was Johnny Cage from Mortal Kombat, then Shitty Drag, then Green Link, and then Johnny Cage again. Then I went shirtless and the crowd went wild.

Image may contain: 3 people, people smiling, people standing, people dancing and indoor

-Also, I attended a "Fursona" panel, and this is the artist's interpretation of the "Thrash Panda" protag:

PAX UNPLUGGED RECAP!
I LOVED PAX Unplugged this year! I sold a shit ton of MtG cards and got to play some new games.

Honestly, my favorite part of PAX Unplugged is the city of Philadelphia. My friend Owen's a local, and took me out to all the cool food places. I got a Wawa's, I got a proper Cheesesteak, I ate scrapple at the Reading Terminal Market, all those boxes were checked off.

Image result for Jeleva

As for actually playing games, I played a round of Commander for the first time in a while, and my group couldn't have been nicer. I only had the Mind Sieze Precon from 2013, but it provided me with a nice enough base to build on, and I've been building a couple decks back here at home, with a third commander deck on the way. Oops...

Raccoon Tycoon Title

A game I tried and ended up buying was Raccoon Tycoon. It's a game about producing resources, selling them for profit, and buying property to help you on your way. You get into a good pace once you get going, and it is straightforward after a couple of rounds. It's got a nice, old world style, and even though raccoons are scavengers, not capitalists, it was worth picking up for $40.

Pat Baer, who helps run League of Heels, the PAX Wrestling Federation, also runs a lot of fun comedy panels, one of which is the Improvised Postmortem, where you make a game concept and make a postmortem on it on the fly from just a title. Loading Ready Run talent, and lots of other familiar faces are there, and did a great job!

JAM OF THE WEEK: "The Passenger" by Siouxie and the Banshees

Recently I checked out the series "Infinity Train" because the second season was advertise with a trailer that has this cover of Iggy Pop's "The Passenger". The Iggy Pop version was also used in the trailer for The Outer Worlds.

Outer Worlds rules, Infinity Train rules, this cover rules, and this was also in the credits for "I, Tonya" which I didn't mind, so if you want me to check out your thing, put "The Passenger" in the trailer.

Status Quo Super Late Does Not Tap When Attacking

LET'S ADDRESS THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

Mainly the orange one elected to the office of President last Tuesday.

Shit, there's been a billion hot takes on it, and MC Lars really has the one I can relate to the most, how we hoped it would never happen, how we all wondered why it all went wrong, and proceeding forward by Making Good Art.

The key word at this point in time is Vigilance.

http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=368976&type=card

Donald Trump has given us NO reason to trust him. His entire campaign was spent othering people who aren't Cis Straight White Dudes. Everyone he wants in his office is clearly reinforcing this notion; from his vice-president Mike Pence, who is SUPER evangelical and anti-LGBTQ, to his most recent appointment of chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, who runs Briebart, which is where you go after Fox News rejects you for being "too racist". All of his debates were spent talking over Clinton, lying about everything, showing an overall poor temperament and just spouting catchphrases ("ISIS!" "EMAILS!", etc.).

The motherfucking KKK is happy about this.

Now you see stories about how he's going back on several of his campaign promises, and everyone's saying "he might not be so bad", and how we should work together and-

No...

No.

What I mean by vigilance is that this validated a lot of shitty people, and be vigilant by sticking up for those who are going to be hurting from all this.  Sometimes just the fact that someone is watching is a discouragement. If you're witnessing harassment, interfere.

You can write your representatives:

Make your voice heard, and keep talking. Dissension keeps this shit from being normalized. We've come too far as a nation to have all of that reversed.

Trump supporters, be vigilant too, but not for "Un-American Activities", but to be critical of the man you elected.

Let's not assume you're racist, sexist whatever. You voted for him because he was going to change things up? He hired Newt Gingrich, Rudy Guillani and Chris Christie to his transition team, about as inside ball as you could get. Going back on some his promises, such as when he wants to keep parts of the Affordable Care Act? When the KKK and the American Nazi Party are doing the Daniel Bryan YES! chant over the decisions he's making? Ask yourself "Is this what I signed up for?" every step of the way, and it is perfectly fine to say "no". See the "Contact your representatives" part above.

And now he's "surprised by the scope of the job"... oh...

We can't ever let up. Not now.

THIS WEEK'S JAM: "We've Got A Bigger Problem Now" by The Dead Kennedys

Well, duh. Of course, this is super relevant because I'm about to crack into the 33 1/3 version of Dead Kennedy's "Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables".

SOMETHING POSITIVE TO END ON THAT ISN'T STEREOTYPICAL CUTE FLUFFY ANIMALS

PODCAST RECAPS FOR 5/7/2016: PAX East PAXnanigans

I'D RATHER NOT EPISODE 7

This was my pick, so I chose the question of: Would you rather have photographic reflexes, but forget things once you learn something new, or would you rather have super strength, but have to eat a shitton of calories to maintain your body.

The first option was inspired by Taskmaster BECAUSE YOU FUCKERS SHOULD KNOW WHY AT THIS POINT:
http://static2.comicvine.com/uploads/scale_super/11115/111152469/3695841-kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.jpg
Depicted: A man forgetting who his wife is.

The other was inspired by this post by Kelly Turnbull, the author of The Punchline is Machismo:
Superhero comic where the main character keeps struggling with balancing his crimefighting and civilian life with the like, 7000 calories a day and extensive exercise regimen you need to maintain those giant hulking bodybuilder physiques.
My favorite part of this podcast is Andy referring to his super strength as his "secret muscles"

I'D RATHER NOT EPISODE 8

Spider business is serious business. So, let's countdown the Top 3 Spiders I would not like on me:
Goliath Birdeater, Theraphosa blondi
The New World Tarantula is fucking gigantic, and really hairy, but is not known to be toxic to humans

Giant Huntsman Spider, Heteropoda maxima
Huntsman spiders do not build webs, but actively forage their food. Normally they don't bother humans, and the give warnings, but seriously, look at that thing.

Golden Silk Orb-weaver, Nephila clavipes
Golded Silk Orb-Weavers build their webs 2-8 feet off the ground to just be dicks, and produce very strong silk. However, after I wake up and kill the spider I'm immediately distracted by the web 2 inches from my face.

I'D RATHER NOT EPISODE 9
According to Wikipedia, Blue Gender was heavily censored on Toonami, so lil' Andy could now see WAY MORE sex and tiddies in the official release.

Now, this was an especially depressing episode for me, because Owen specifically namedropped Chrisley Knows Best, aka A Southern Man With an Effeminate Voice Says Shit In The Middle Of RAW.

Status Quo Sunday Is Very Late

This week's jam:

#Pokemon20
HEY, WHY DIDN'T YOU DO THE ORIGINAL POKEMON THEME SONG?
cuz fuck you that's why.

Jigglypuff was my favorite recurring Pokemon in the show. Looking back, my favorite episodes of the original Polemon anime weren't moments from the game, it was all the little inbetween episodes that fleshed out the world a little bit. Like the episode Jigglypuff first appeared in, and it featured a city that wasn't in the games, or the one where they visited that doctor who taught them about Pokemon evolution, where Slowpoke evolves into Slowbro. Or that episode where Bulbasaur was called to his Saurpeople and wanted to evolve but he didn't want to change his personality, or the one where Ash wanted Pikachu to evolve to beat Lt. Surge's Raichu but Pikachu was like "NO! I WANT TO DO IT FOR ALL THE PIKACHUS OUT THERE!" and then there's the one where-

ANYTHING ELSE?
I've got Omni Expo this weekend, so to celebrate, here's another recap video from Holiday Matsuri!

Nothing new for a little bit, mostly this week is going to be practice for OMNI Expo, I'm going to be streaming practice sometime this week.

Other than that, this weekend was pretty good, I found a copy of Buck Bumble in the wild, and managed to find this little guy:

There are a couple things in the future that might be worth talking about, but I'm waiting to hear more about it.

Echo Chamber Recap Episode 145

#ETHICS IN ROCK BAND JOURNALISM

-The best way to describe the issue of Harmonix Employees posting reviews of their own game is "faux pax". It's embarassing, but in the long run, ultimately harmless. The "IT'S ABOUT ETHICS IN GAME JOURNALISM" crowd showed up a bit, but like we mentioned before, the issue died down within the day.

-YOU KIDS LIKE WEEEEEEEED?
*smashes bong on floor*
*glass shatters*

STONER COLD STEEEVE AUSTIN and vince is the DEA read my fanfiction here

-CORRECTION: Morning show DJs are more chill than these over the top doofiness of the Guitar Hero Live DJs. Elvis Duran making Dad jokes would be less groan worthy than this shit.

-Guitar Hero TV in general has everything I'd LOVE to see in Rock Band: Random songs playing in the background, and the ability to "rent" the entire DLC library. Main question is though: are the microtransactions working out for GHTV? Secondary question: How often and how many songs are they going to add to the DLC rotation. I remember in an interview the way their protocol is set up is that they can add a song once it gets popular on YouTube the same day.

-Girls and Boys Music Video:

Ah, 2000-era mall punk.

-Murder Burger

-Take ground beef, add Reese's Pieces, roll into a donut shape, and deep fry it. Add four patties, with a layer on bacon, egg and cheese on each. Shove a double down in between the second and third patty. Cover in marinara sauce.

-ARTICLE ON KURTWOOD SMITH PLAYING VERNON MASTERS.
Yeah, so Taskmaster, drink him in:

So, for those chumps who don't know about Taskmaster, LEMME SSSSSSSPELL IT OUT FOR YOU!
Taskmaster is a villain within the Marvel Universe, typically hired as a mercenary. Blessed with the power of "photographic reflexes", he can imitate the movements of anyone he sees. He can throw his shield like Captian America, have the sick Kung Fu skills of Iron Fist, and can shoot arrow like Hawkeye. He then uses these skills to teach people how to be better henchmen so his pretty skull face doesn't get hurt.

In addition to that, he's also been known to use his skills for personal reasons (learning how to cook, play guitar, etc.) for macking on the fly honeys. So, he could have used his gift to be in a great rock n' roll band, or win dance competitions, but instead he's like "FUCK THAT NOISE, I'MA PUT ON TIGHTS AND BEAT UP SUPERHEROES"

-The missing songs from Pachabel Rant are:
"Graduation" by Vitamin C
"One Tin Soldier" by Coven
"Hook" by Blues Traveler
"Push" by Matchbox 20
"Good" by Better Than Ezra
"With Or Without You" by U2
|"Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia
"Sk8R Boi" by Avril Lavigne
"We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister

-DIDNEY WORL in minecraft

-We talked a lot about A Flavor House Atlantic.

Status Quo Sunday Without Borders

Summer Games Done Quick 2014 started today!
Watch live video from SpeedDemosArchiveSDA on www.twitch.tv

o and also the u.s. tied with Portugal in the world cup which is probably the world's largest sporting event, but who cares.

What's been going on? I do have a couple of announcements, but that is not set in stone yet, but I can guarantee that there will be a new poster, with all the shows I played in 2014, and 2013 to celebrate Flo-Rida. It's probably going to be me fighting zombies (A.K.A. Gov. Rick Scott and all the old people) or nuking the state from orbit. Who knows?

Also, some behind the scenes progress on Status Quo Radio is being made, writing more concepts (for the bigger album) and even looking toward the production side of things, such as who's going to mix/master it, and how much to set for the Kickstarter, factoring doing a digital only release vs. adding in other costs such as merch so that I have all of that ready for future shows. It's a balance to strike between keeping the budget big enough to account for the unaccountable, and small enough so that it's an achievable goal.

But I'm looking at my to do list, and other than order the last issue I need of True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys and the pieces for a Mono-Green Infect deck, there's a lot of songs in the works.

So sometimes on weekends I have enough time to work for the day, but during the week, I have to do it track by track. One way I love to piss off my parents is that any thing that I want to do that's time consuming, I just hold up 4 fingers for the 4 hours I have from the time I get home from work until bed. Is it healthy to think like that? Probably not, but then again I've always been a bit of a Taskmaster, making lists and always making sure that something is "going on"

But that feeling... That feeling when you fit in a workout during your lunch break, or cross a couple things off your list before bed... That's a pretty good feeling.

Papers, Please and Steam sales really fuck with that.

Master Debating

All right, so,
1. It's been a while since my last post, and 2. For someone makes nerd friendly music, I don't really talk about "nerd stuff" much. I guess I don't have much time to post anyways, so that kind of falls by the wayside.

-Now kids, once upon a currently, there was a show called "Young Justice". My brother liked it, and I haven't seen an animated superhero show since Batman Beyond. We were looking for something to do in the lead up to Christmas, and this filled that void. It's good, and if you're familiar with DC Lore, I'd recommend it. Even for a neophyte such as myself, I get a lot out of it.

So I forget when, but in I think the 5th or 6th episode, there was a character called "Sportsmaster", a mercenary wearing a hockey mask resembling that of a skull. It was interesting, because the name sounded a lot like Taskmaster, a skull faced mercenary. I rock Tasky's logo on my guitar (it helps with covers), so the similarity was enough to check out Sporty's (new nickname) "deal". Now, despite the name similarities, the two are quite different.

You see, Sportsmaster is a skull masked mercenary with "photographic reflexes", the ability to replicate someone else's movements, who's under DC, and Taskmaster is skull masked mercenary with "photographic reflexes", the ability to replicate someone else's movements, who's under Marvel. BIG DIFFERENCE.

-Speaking of which, TM was on this past Sunday's "Ultimate Spiderman", and HOLY CRAP IS THAT SHOW OBNOXIOUS. I get it's not for me, but my God, it's like a Disney show on fast forward. The cutaways can really break the flow, and at a point it doesn't become a cohesive presentation, it's just things.

Though Coulson and Stan Lee cameos were pretty badass.

But I'm not watching that show again.

-Trials Evolution. Get it. It's only $15.

-Changeling, a comic by friend of the Bastard, Koltreg, is really starting to hit its stride. I also have a song in the works for it, so you might be able to hear that.

-AXE COP IS GETTING IT'S OWN TV SHOW!!
