Fandom Music Compilation Album Details

OK! So, I'm giving a little more background on this, and why I'm hype about it.

1. YOU CAN VOTE ON THE SONGS!

Some I already know what I'm going to do, some I'm not so sure about, so that's why I'm letting you choose some!

I want this to be an album you can give to your friends as an introduction to my greater work, sobe sure to pick your favorites, and leave some suggestions in the comments.

2. AT LEAST 12 SONGS, SOME NEW, SOME OLD
There's going to be AT LEAST 12 songs on the album, and it shakes up as follows:
  • 3 Team Fortress 2 songs:
    • "Force Of Nature"
    • "From A Mile Away (Boom, Headshot)"
    • One other song, voted on by you. The previous 2 are the most obvious references, so I'm leaving this one up to you guys
  • 3 Overwatch songs:
    • "Fire In The Hole"
    • 2 other songs currently in the works, more details later. But for now, these will be the FIRST PLACE you can hear these new tracks.
  • 3 Magic The Gathering songs:
    • "Hunting Bigger Game"- It encapsulates that FNM excitement so well, and it's the song I throw cards out to.
    • 2 other songs, voted on by you!
  • 3 other fandom songs:
    • "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza"- Again, I play this song live ALL THE TIME, and this is the first time I'm selling a recorded version.
    • "Axe Punk"- Another live set favorite about everyone's favorite cop with an Axe!
    • OPEN- Let me know in the comments! Check out my Soundcloud, and if there's any you think I missed that doesn't fit in one of the above cateregories, let me know.

3. I WANT ON OF YOU TO DRAW THE COVER!

Pretty evident! Post in the comments, or send me an email to your portofolio!

PODCAST RECAPS FOR 10/29/2016: Five Nights At Arby's

INSERT QUEST HERE: ECLIPSE PHASE: LUNAR HELL HUNT

I was on the Special Halloween Episode of Insert Quest Here!

I'D RATHER NOT EPISODE 34

-Something... happened last week? I think. I dunno, the podcast is the same as it ever was!

-Dumb Bullshit Jared Leto Did To Get Into Character For The Joker:
1. Sending random gifts to his coworkers like used condoms and anal beads.
2. Fucking with his coworkers by being "in character" the whole time and insisting everyone call him Mr. J on the set.
3. Dropping a live pif in the middle of a table read.

Yeah, everyone hated him.

Jared Leto feels like the  director was egging him on the whole time. Like, all the other actors were like "Man, not this shit again" and David Ayer, the director, along with the marketing team was like "HOW MESSED UP IS THE JOKER GONNA BE?"

-Why I Am The King Of Five Nights At Freddy's: without my kickass song, nobody would have heard of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Markiplier, NateWantsToBattle and Game Theory are all liars and charaltans. Never played the games, but I'm the real King Of Finve Nights At Freddy's: A Game I've Never Played.

-"Bad Things Happen Warehouse Starring Jared Leto" is what is on the marquee at every 30 Seconds To Mars concert.

-Creepy Stuff Scientist is how I imagine John would act if were still alive and unactivated by The Protocol after [REDACTED] activated it.

-Real people painted like animatronics? Did you mean Steam Powered Giraffe:

-If we're doing jump scare muppet house, I'm surprised we haven't brought up the one guy who's got "innocuous object but REALLY SCARY" on lock down:http://www.c21media.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/oscar-the-grouch.jpg

ECHO CHAMBER EPISODE 185

-Rockudrama, while not meaty, is really big on dry humor, like, as Arc mentioned: Jake and Amir. While nowadays it seems "DORKLY" is the big CollegeHumor brand, CH in general was pretty good at that aloof, "bullshit with a striaght face". I thought the series ended when I graduated college, but it's still going on, like this from a couple days ago:

Let's look at comme-

oh... oh... oh...

-I've come around on Kool Terry. Kool Terry is Kewl with Mee. He's like onions: when made to put in a dish, it's great, but you can't eat it on your own. Also it smells bad.

-The TRUE AND HONEST Nintendo Switch Trailer:

-The curly fries look SOOOOO GOOOOD, but those Beef and Cheddar Sandwiches could look better.

Status Quo Sunday Provides Content For Youtube

This week's jam:

NateWantsToBattle is propably the only way we'll get Old Fall Out Boy for a while. He also has a metal cover of Excalibur's song from Soul Eater that's awesome as fuck.

While he is the most prolific "maker of songs about Five Night's At Freddy's", he wasn't the first. This Halloween I posted up a video of me doing an acoustic version of the song I was commissioned to write for the "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza" chain back in the 70's.

I also helped build and design the robots, which is why they act so evil. Because fuck the night watchman, and fuck the owner, who stiffed me on the commission royalties. Before the second FNAF game was released, I contacted Scott about using the original songs. Unfortunately, the tapes are god knows where, so it's impossible to get a digital version.

I'm not in that deep with the FNAF series, having only played some of the first two games, the rest of my knowledge coming from Markiplier's Let's Plays. Still, I like how it's become a thing. The designer was working at a Dollar General, doing games in his spare time until FNAF drops and everyone wants to play it, or at least watch others play it.

What's fascinating is that the adage "Thank God For Jim Sterling" comes into play. He reviewed of one of Scott Cawthon's earlier games, "Chipper & Sons Lumber Co.", where he commented on how creepy the game looked.

Cawthon's response? He got a bunch of neckbeards and a hack Brittish tabloid rag writer to threaten Jim with rape.

Nah, he was like "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED MOTHERFUCKER!" and make a game about creepy animatronics.

Also this week, I did my TOTALLY ON TIME Chibi-Pa Sampler recap video:

I don't rmember a whole lot, but it was a fun one day outing, and a reminder that equipment maintenance is key to providing the best performance you can on all occasions.

Status Quo Radio is now on YouTube:

Which means I did EVERYTHING from the list from last week, except the Insert Quest Here thing, but that's on that guy.

Next week? A new song? Yeah, sure.

A Sampler Of Status's To Quo

This week's jam is CRAZY FRESH, yo:

Summer Games Done Quick is going on, and I wanted to play a song that's both summery, and has to do with running. Currently, there's a race for Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. It's weird, finding more than one person who gave a shit about that game. It's weird to see that Naughty Dog went from that, to Jak and Daxter to Uncharted, the DEFINITION of polish.

The song doesn't feature Cee-Lo Green's vocals very well, but he's able to convey the right urgency for the song, while still sounding good. For something similar, look to the bridge of "Fuck You" when he screams "WHYYY LAAADY?"

Danger Mouse drops the beats like it's 1979 up in here, and while the hook isn't as memorable as "Crazy", it's punchy to go with Cee-Lo's golden selling of every line.

ENOUGH MUSIC TALK, TIME FOR SOME ANIME BULLSHIT!

CHIBI-PA SAMPLER TIME MOTHERFUCKERS!!!

HOW DOPE WAS CHIBI-PA?
It was pretty good! For a small con, it felt big, and it was crowded. Dead after the costume contest, but before then it was poppin'. Saw 80% of my So-Flo con bros, and if my Dad didn't fuck it up too bad, I've got some video footage!

For $5, you got pretty much you'd get some panels, a game room, a cosplay contest and a dance, all of which convientiently located next to a bar with a hotel. Oops, did I say that wrong?

This was a "sampler" for the main Chibi-Pa Show in November. No details have been announced on THAT yet, but I know last year they had a pretty good lineup for a smaller show.

The only thing missing was a tabletop room, but from what I heard, it was a last minute cut on the venue. If this is a clue to what Chibi-Pa will be like in November, I'm down!

I also remember it's been a while since I updated the Flickr account, so I'll probably post stuff from that when I get some free time, or am not sleepy.

All I can say is, NOW I AM SO PUMPED FOR ORLANDO NERD FEST!!!

Also, Hulk Hogan said some REALLY racist shit recently, and WWE has been going to great lengths to scrub him from the records. We're talking "WE WERE ALWAYS AT WAR WITH EURASIA!!!" type shit with possibly the biggest sports star of the 80's.

When I first heard this news, It was in the context of a radio interview he did where he was telling a story about hanging around Booker T, Timaland, and the producers for his daughter Brooke's album, all saying "My Ni--a", and he started copying them, and my first thought was, "It's bad, but not that bad. It could get him in some trouble, but the WWE has done much worse"

Then the actual words came out.

Yeah, saying "I am a racist" then dropping the N-Bomb is indefensible. Given that he's worked with so many black wrestlers and had black fans over the years and says that is mind-boggling.

This was said in a private conversation, that Hogan may or may not have been aware that was recorded, so he was probably more candid and looser than in "everyday life", but this was still a major screwup.

You know what fixes screwups? Admitting to it.
You know what REALLY fixes screwups? Learning from the messing up.

To end this on a slightly better note, new song this Sunday!
For those of you lucky enough to come to my Chibi-Pa Show, you'll see what it is.
All I'm saying is, I predate all of NateWantsToBattle's songs by about 40 years.
