I seriously need to catch up on these...

ECHO CHAMBER EPISODE 172

-Horse Beach by Rockhead:

-Disturbed's "Shout 2000":

Because this is what I was thinking when they mentioned "Shout 2000:

-Truth be told, I like playing Reaper because he plays the same way I play League of Legends: go in, do some damage, then run away like a little girl. With his Wraith mode and teleportation, he's essentially the Spy from Team Fortress 2, who I used a lot to get behind enemy lines and key targets. But then I hear him talk...

Demoman? Is that you?
-REAPER'S PLAYLIST:
"Closer" by Nine Inch Nails
"Bodies" by Drowning Pool
"Down With The Sickness" by Disturbed
"I Am Hated" by Slipknot
"Crawling" by Linkin Park

-Fun fact: Keith Ferguson, the voice actor for Reaper is also the voice of Bloo from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends :

Death walks among you
-Overwatch Lore: Reaper and 76's origins

Overwatch lore is very in depth for something you're pretty much thrown in the middle of having no impact within the gameplay. TF2 was also like that, but it had the core game first, then all the lore came much afterward. Characters like Saxton Hale and Merasmus weren't planned when TF2 first released, all it had were it's 9 classes, all it will have will be its 9 classes.

However, since Overwatch is a game that plans to expand it's character roster over time, it wants to make sure players stay invested in the characters themselves, so naturally they make all this other stuff up to make this new guy sound like the coolest ever.

TF2 needed investment in it's gameplay, Overwatch needed investment in its characters.

-Overwatch Characters as dogs from Reddit.

-History Of Japan because WE KNOW YALL LOVE THAT SHIT:

-HiImDaisy Comic Dub of Persona 4:

I use the phrase "I got a body by doing situps" in every conversation.

-Sequelitis Mega Man:

-Andrew Crashes E3:

-Mr. Bones Wild Ride sounds like a treat and a nightmare:

-I just downloaded RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe off Steam and I spent 2 hours on it. I can confirm that the UI doesn't scale, but not in the way they stated. I had this weird thing where the icons were cut off on the top.

-While "Social Eating" is probably part of some Korean thing called "muk-bang", you KNOW it's going to be used for some fetish shit.

-Stakin's Law: Everyone on Twitch will mention their dick. Always.

I'D RATHER NOT EPISODE 18

The Wild Thornberry's Movie I was thinking about "Gift Of The Gab".

The Twitter polls I find tend to be closer, because they don't hear discussions and come to the same conclusions we do. So this week's Twitter Poll ignores the fact that I SHIFTED IT INTO HIGH GEAR.

FUN FACT: "Girlfriend" by Kabbage Boy was going to be a song included in the PC release Rock Band 4, which is probably the greatest tragedy of that not Fig not succeeding.

The word "Gypsy" is thrown around a lot in this episode, my bad.

The premise John, I'm sorry, "American Ass John" is describing sounds like this really bleh show "Kappa Mikey":

That sounds a lot like Rolling Stones' "Hey You"

Crank 2 Kaiju Scene:

Until next time: MONSTERS ARE REAL! DANGER CAN HAPPEN!

Status Quo Sunday 26.98 Times

Turning 27 a week from LET'S SAY TODAY, and that's when I'll do the State Of The Bastard. Right nowm this is my jam:

Status Quo Update: I've got a good buffer going, so all is well on that front. I want plenty of time to finish up the last little bit of the songs I'm not rerecording. I'm still going to be making new stuff, but anything for the album I'm going to play close to the chest. If you're on the mailing list, however, then you got a free track that's never before seen! I'm in the home stretch, and I'm getting some good stuff back, so fingers crossed!

In other news, Awesome Games Done Quick is going on, so I'll be donating to that sometime this week :D.

Also, Orlando Nerd Fest is now accepting performer applications! So you know I got all up on that.ONF is one of the places I'm looking to go back to this year.

Been getting into some other video games, like Assassin's Creed II and Persona Q. ACII feels almost more like a racing game/platformer, with stealth coming in a distant third. It's an interesting story so far, and I'm excited to play it once AGDQ is finished. Persona Q is me hanging out with the crew from the Persona games again, so I'm 100% on board.

One last video game: Drift Stage- A throwback to 64-bit era racing games that's pretty cool.

-THE ONE TRUE WAIFU

Chie Satonaka render

-I don't think Android phones have a Siri/Cortana equivalent. I'm sure with the open platform, something out there exists for it. Not really getting it though, since everything I'd use Siri/Cortant for I could look up myself, or set up on the alarm. Then again, it could be one of those things where I get it and say "HOW CAN I LIVE WITHOUT THIS?"

-The problem of having swole legs, meaning your phone is haunted.

-STOOPID FONE!!!
"Stoopid Fone!" commercial parody from julianne eggold on Vimeo.

-Florida tends to have as many dangerous animals as Australia, and the thing is we BOTH have horrible, horrible leaders

-Giant Bomb Ramen Eating Contest:

-The MASTERPOST of Memes Are People Too
I think she wins most improved though:
Because they actually still exist outside of the interwebz.

-The Seinfeld Frogger Scene:

-Final Fantasy XV

-I've sung the praises of the Rock Band Network several times throughout the course of this blog. I could go into detail about how bold of a move it was, and how many new bands I've discovered through the course of working for them.

I could talk about how I met some really awesome people, and how PAX East 2013 was easily one of the best weekends ever. (Start at 20:00)

I could talk about how it's brought me closer to some artists I really admire, and MC Lars gave me a shout out at Orlando Nerd Fest.

I could talk about how it's made me a better musician, in that it trained my ear and taught me how instruments work together.

But I think I'm just going to say goodbye.

Echo Chamber Post Game Episode 96

WE DON'T HAVE DECAF, BUT WE IT'LL BE READY BY THE END OF THIS PODCAST

-The game I mentioned in the beginning of the podcast is real, and called Stella Ella Ola. THERE'S REGIONAL DIFFERENCES...

-Jigglypuff and Captain Falcon have been confirmed for Smash 4, so I'm still happy.

-Speaking of Falcons, apparently there is a SHIT TON to the Star Fox lore that I was not aware of. Some choice quotes from Falco Lombardi's wiki page:
  • With 123 quotes, Falco is the second most talkative character in Star Fox 64 behind Peppy. The 3DS release added seven new ones.
  • There's Star Fox comics and manga.
  • The classic "Hey, Einstien!" line was changed from SF64 to SF643D: ("Hey, genius, I'm on YOUR side!" (When being hit by Fox. This replaces "Hey, Einstein, I'm on YOUR side!")
  • UGO Networks listed Falco as one of the top twenty-three second in commands in movies, television, video games, and entertainment.
  • In the Star Fox 64 Manga, at the end when the unit turns down the offer, he says "...And I've got a lovely little kitty waiting for me!"; this dialogue can be seen as a possible confirmation for Falco's feelings towards Katt.
  • However, later in the article, it states: In Farewell, Beloved Falco, he also mentions that he doesn't plan on settling down with a woman, although he was likely to be in denial of a potential relationship with Katt. Notably, when Katt revealed that she actually did find someone besides Falco that she was considering settling down with, he had some slight pause at her revelation before ultimately shrugging it off. It is also revealed that the reason why he left the gang was because he didn't want to end up being Katt's "rescuer" all the time.
There's a GODDAMN SHIPPING WAR IN THE STARFOX WIKI.

-R.O.B. as the Obsolete Technology Charachter:
Side-B: Shoots the ROB Disks
Standard B: Power Glove Punch
Up-B: Detatch Game Boy Player as deadweight as a second jump
Down-B: Scan battlefield with Game Boy Camera

-ZOMG KIRBY DOG:

-Persona 4 is really good you guys.

-VERY SPOILERY LINK FOR PERSONA 4. It's about the first 30 hours.

-The ACM Honors awards sounded pretty swank.
Country music, while I can never know where it begins and ends, always lends itself to being more intimate, not just because of the rural environment, but because a lot of the country instruments, like acoustic guitar, violins, and drums, that not a lot is required for a backline. That's probably why there's so few people who get songwriting credit.

-Outlaw and the Heretic Part II by Single White Infidel

-Heroism by Mystakin

Echo Chamber Post Game Episode 8E-3 and 8E-4

E3 FUTURE PREDICTIONS: YOU WILL DOWNLOAD THIS EPISODE

-Mega64 Skit

There was also a later one, but I'm not including it because of Harrison Ford's traumatic death.

-Is E3 necessary?

I forgot who it was, but someone on the Giant Bombcast mentioned that while those of us "in the know" already knew a lot about what's going on in the video game industry already, E3 is more for the average consumer who gets their news through more standard/mainstream outlets (Newspapers, evening news, 24 hour cable networks except for Fox News because technology is scary). A local news station that Bombcaster worked at was only aware of video games during the E3 conference, or during some kind of moral panic.

Your average consumer couldn't care less about what's coming up outside a game that's already being advertised on TV, or more than a month down the line, so they still look to go "GOLLY, look at all these shiny new toys!" before caring about the couple they buy a year.

There was the failed "E for All Expo" that happened a couple years ago which was supposed to be a "Hey, guys! Come and see what's coming out!" thing, but it ultimately flopped.

FOR NOW, until more consoles get online so we might be able to do some time-limited demo/beta stuff for the masses, and until the news gets more video-game savvy (see below) we still need that central rallying point.

-Re: Arcanon on Amplitude: Given Jeff's comments on the previous episode (his credit limit was boosted more or less right away, Arcanon had to wait), I think from this we can determine that Arcanon's bank is WAY LESS likely to receive a government bailout in the future.

BROADCASTING TO YOU LIVE FROM UNDERWATER

-So, while my Skype setup was all good, I still had my USB mic plugged in, which Reaper set as the default. FFFFFF-

-Carolyn was a great guest, and probably the main reason (behind Ozone of course) that this podcast happened in the first place. It was really awesome to hear how much she loved running the RBN Network, and she felt warm fuzzies with us talking about how much we loved making stuff for the RBN.

-Revolution 60- This game sounded really unique from the description she gave, and my brain is stuck on The Walking Dead Telltale meets Megaman Battle Network, which is enough to get me to play it. According to their Facebook page, it's ready for testing.

More pics on Flickr, which is the Online Photo Service of all the cool kids.

-So, yes, THIS ACTUALLY RAN ON THE L.A. TIMES:

"Nintendo's 'glacier white' Playstation 4"

See also, "Cowboy Bebop at his Computer"

Which reminds me that I still need to watch Cowboy Bebop and on top of that, I got my brother bitching at me to watch Attack On Titan.

-We out ourselves as Nintendo Fanboys a lot on this one. Whereas Sony and Microsoft are competing with each other, Nintendo at this point is flailing it's arms going PAY ATTENTION TO US!!! Mario Maker and Splatoon got us the most hype, but my attention was more focused on 3DS and their offerings. So, in average PODCAST RECAP TRADITION, here's what's going to be on my wishlist in the coming months:

Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright:

A.K.A. Two of my favoritest DS games had a baby and now I get to play them at the same time instead of choosing what to bring with me on the toilet.

Persona Q:

The universe and characters of the Persona Series, on a console I don't have to beg my brother to use!

Project  S.T.E.A.M.:

Steampunk Advance Wars where you and Abraham Lincoln fight aliens and for the love of Xenagos you had me at "Advance Wars"

-Your annual reminder that Frog Fractions exists

-Following the news that John Drake was let go as well, maybe we can have him on as well?

Echo Chamber Post Game Episode 53

HOW WAS YOUR DAY?

Better now that you have the Echo Chamber!

-The Persona series always interested since I saw AnimeCow and Mystakin played it. While normally I suck at Fighting Games (mainly because of not having much access to them), I kinda want to get Persona 4 Arena, because it's the only game available for the Xbox. I could buy a PS2 for a song, but the games are hard to find, and while I could buy the games for the PS3 my brother's a dick.

-JAWS OF LIFE YOU SAY?!?!?

-First result for Stoned Firefighter:

-So, we talk a lot about DiveKick, but here's the Grand Finals from EVO 2013:

EVO 2013 - Divekick - Grand Final (luxium.ru) by luxium

-Ben Affleck is playing Batman.
Ehhh..? Maybe. He's always seemed too "nice" for Batman, and I doubt they'd go with a friendlier Batman (like the Adam West version), so he's going to have to seriously step up his game.

-Wow? Really?

-In the "Actors Changing Tones In The Most WTF Way Possible..."

Bryan Cranston, 3x Emmy Winner everybody.

-This is the dog picture me and Arcanon made a series out of.

-P.S. REGARDING THE FANFICTION:

I'm a hack... :(

Speaking of which...

-ANIMECOW IS LATE FOR SCHOOL PART 2 (Short, because it was up later in the week):

Dark Sephiroth Goku The Stampede was attacking the school and Teacher Alphonse Elric stood in the students way but Dark Sephiroth Goku The Stampede punched Al so hard he flew through the wall and killed some kindergarteners but it's OK because they were bad kindergarteners learning to be evil.

"You'll never get away this" said Al as he stood up. He looked around at the macabre horror that now surrounded him. Children, no older than 9, lay dead around him, their bright eyes full of optimisim and youth gone dark, from the horrors of the outside world. Al was already a prisoner, his soul forever trapped in a suit of armor, the only thing that connected him to our mortal world. Now he had to live trapped within the guilt of innocent lives dead at his hands.

Such potential, he thought, as he looked up at the chalkboard, a sea where ideas and young minds could flourish, rendered useless by the giant hole he put through it.

It simply read BUTTS.

"WHERE IS THE ANIMECOW?" asked Dark Sephiroth Goku The Stampede really loudly.

"AnimeCow-uke is late for school" said Mystakin, eating Pocky and being all Tsundere. "Not like I care about him or anything... he's so baka!!" and then blushed profusely.

"ANIMECOW IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN DEFEAT ME WITH HIS MYSTICAL POWERS OF THE COW!!! BUT AS HE IS LATE FOR SCHOOL, THEN I SHALL TAKE OVER THIS SCHOOL, WHICH HE IS LATE FOR, THEN THE WORLD!!!!" talked Dark Sephiroth Goku The Stampede really loudly.

Goku and Piccillo were in the next room and came into the class room and flew in to help save the day.

"What the h-e-double hockey sticks is going on here?" asked Goku, who didn't swear because he's a good guy.

"Yeah, we were buying weed from those kindgarteners!" said Piccillo.

"F--K OFF" said Dark Sephiroth Goku The Stampede, who said naughty words because he was a Bad Guy.

AnimeCow was stuck behind a fat lady on the sidewalk.

Can the Z squad fight Dark Sephiroth Goku The Stampede?
Will AnimeCow ever get to school?

TUNE IN NEXT TIME!!!
