First and foremost, as promised, here's a new song "Fahrenhype"
Beat used: "Let It Crawl" by Society's Bag
Since
Two Best Friends Play and Supergreatfriend both finished up their LPs of
“Indigo Prophecy” at around the same time, I made this.
I got Indigo Prophecy the first week or so it came out. Like most people, I was pumped for the first few hours of game play, and it was really great because it was setting up this cool mystery, and then it absolutely went to shit. I'm kind of curious what the buildup would have been had they had proper time to finish up that project.
The initial premise, that you take on the role and the police, made for an interesting mechanic, but it's completely abandoned two scenes in to make room for the 100 other types of subplots they wanted to get in.
The characters are very broadly drawn, with their roles boiled down to things such as "The Hero", "The Love Interest", "The Black Guy", etc. and while appreciate the little details that are put into their lives (Lucas plays guitar and practices martial arts, Tyler has a girlfriend and plays video games, Carla's best friend), the characters themselves aren't very interesting. I don't have fond memories of anyone from that game like I did with Deadly Premonition and The Walking Dead.
Granted, I finished it, but only because there were so many dangling hooks, I had to be dragged along for the ride, and I was already halfway through before it became "Play Simon to advance".
At the end of the day, while I may find his games problematic, I appreciate what his doing, and am more than glad that a person like him can make the games that he does. Again, The Walking Dead came along and kicked the crap out of everything he did, but as far as making people think a little differently about games with a AAA budget, then it's OK... for now.
MY FIRST INTERVIEW!!!
My segment starts right around the 2 hour mark. We talk about screwy video games, rock n' roll radio cliches, TWO FOR TUESDAY, and movies. I'd love to be back on there again sometime!
MY SECOND APPEARANCE ON HEEL TURN
The RAW Episode after a Pay Per View is always an odd one. Hell in a Cell didn't resolve a lot, and Daniel Bryan got screwed out of the title again. It's getting old at this point, and none of the non-comedy plotlines interest me now that John Cena's back.
DRIVE BACK HOME GETS ME WORKIN' MY DRAFT MUSCLES AGAIN
And I failed... again...
FUTURE STUFF!!!
The good news is that I got a three song deep queue of stuff on the backburner, so I'm never not running out of material.
The bad news is that eventually I'm going to be moving some of the Dino Hunter MD songs off of Soundcloud, since they're on Bandcamp, and I'm running out of space on SoundCloud.

Status Quo Sunday Breaks 100 Plays In One Day
The only time this has even come close was when "Lord I Miss Deadly Premonition" made it on Complex Mag, and even then I was still 2 short.
Working on a music video for that one.
All right, back to what you people came here to see:
Track number one is FINISHED and work on the next song is coming along. I still have to do a bit of maneuvering to get this all in one file, but god DAMN does "Status Quo Radio" sound hot now!
In between some songs, there's going to be a little interlude, and while I have some friends filling in other roles, right now I have a couple place holders in there, and I'm starting on "Enlist Today!"
SO, with all THAT out of the way, guess who discovered "Epic Rap Battles" of history?
There are some songs where the rapping isn't good, but the matchups are hilarious, or I don't have any connection to either of the people featured, but every video manages to deliver on some level.

NEW SONG: "Gang Of Nine"
"Gang Of Nine", a new song!
The Team Fortress 2 Theme mixed with Akira The Don's Remix of "Clones". After how popular "Boston Boom Bringer" was, I decided to do another rap song!

Dino Hunter MD: The Sound Track Is Now Pay What You Want!
So, you COULD get it for free OR, I'd recommend about $5-6. Or give it for $100. I ain't care.
I figured if I want people to have my music, I should make it as easy as possible.
OK, so I went to bed about 12 hours ago, and "Boston Boom Bringer" has 74 views on YouTube and 169 notes on Tumblr. Not bad for my first venture into nerdcore!
Just as a reminder/annotation:
100 views on YouTube, video of me performing "Boston Boom Bringer" at the Jamspace at PAX East

NEW SONG: "Boston Boom Bringer"
This song I finished like, just now, and wanted to have something done by Album Writing Month
This came about when I wanted to make a song featuring one of the Scout's Boombox taunt beats, and The Standell's "Dirty Water".
I am the Boston Boom Bringer, here to bring the boom
When you see rollin' up like a harbringer of doom
Cause when I'm strapping on my kicks and go zoom
Like an Ubercharged Heavy I'm clearin' out the whole room.
Force of nature comin' atcha like a class 5
Fist to your face is gonna hit you like a line drive
You know you can't survive
When you roll up in my diamond
Cause I got the rhymin and timin' that gets me so high and
when my bat hits your head you're gonna be dyin'
No survivin'
You know I'm number one, I'll take on anyone,
Cause every beat I drop is a home freakin' run.
I am the Boston Boom Bringer, here to bring the boom
When you see rollin' up like a harbringer of doom
Cause when I'm strapping on my kicks and go zoom
Like an Ubercharged Heavy I'm clearin' out the whole room.
Even when I'm beaten, I still soldier on
By the time you see me, I'm already gone
Blazin a trail making wicked pyrotechnics
Maybe steal your girl, take her back for a night sex
Drop a bomb and blow her damn mind,
Then kick her to the curb, just before morning time
Back on the battlefield dropping beats so heavy
Rocking the ground and breakin all the levys
Ain't no machine better than this boombox
Rockin' down the block and knockin' all the socks off
Then you'll need a surgeon to reattach your legs
So go back to your home and stick with the dregs
Don't need no gun to score all the headshots
Or blow minds with my rhymes right in the apricot
Invisible, subliminal snaking up from behind,
Reappear in your ears like I was there the whole time
I am the Boston Boom Bringer, here to bring the boom
When you see rollin' up like a harbringer of doom
Cause when I'm strapping on my kicks and go zoom
Like an Ubercharged Heavy I'm clearin' out the whole room.

Echo Chamber Post Game Episode 4
This week on The Echo Chamber: "I listen to pretty much everything except rap and country"!
And now I do the post-game thingy where I share links and thoughts that didn't make it in, like how "Playin' Invisiball", the song for the theme, is pretty country.
-So the main takeaway from this episode is basically "Don't Listen To The Radio".
I live in New York City where the only rock station is Q104.3, the "classic rock station" that plays Green Day and Pearl Jam. Everything else is either "Lite Music", "Hip Hop" or "Top 40" which is essentially the bastard child of the two. When everything is watered down for the sake of a crossover hit, you can't really get a "feel" for the genre, since it's not what you want, it's what the market wants.
-Also, maybe it's just me, but rap and country, for all their brutal honesty, can be pretty depressing to listen to. With rap, you have a lot of outward frustration with a system that has all but ignored you, and the music is broadcasting to the world in the hopes that someone will listen. With country, it's more of a contemplative, inward focus, by playing whatever you'd have on you. The "country" is very sparse, very lonely, but at the same time, a little empowering.
-That Nickelback story and the "Mexican Sandwich" story are my favorite ones to tell.
-Cowpunk rules. Thanks, Jeff.
-Also, Facebook has You Don't Know Jack. THANKS A LOT JEFF.
-That Guy With The Glasses has a Rap Critic. Haven't seen much from him, but he knows what he's talking about.
-Honky Tonk Badonkadonk, in all its glory:
-The Dave Chapelle Sketch that no one heard of :(
And yes, THOSE WERE REAL TWEETS:
