Status Quo Sunday Is Back On Time

Remember to vote on the songs for the upcoming Fandom Compilation! Polls are on the right!

NEW SONG COMING THIS WEEK!

Along with a "single" version with some extra goodies. It is my long overdue Aether Revolt song, and the single version will include a bonus treat from some of the good people at Voice Of All!

MOMOCON!

More to come soon, but again, if you want to help raise some funds for Momocon, you can help by purchasing some stuff from my Bandcamp page!

NEW T-SHIRT DESIGN! DOWN TO DUEL?

Down To Duel? Black T-Shirt Front

This T-shirt makes it super easy to find people to play Magic The Gathering with at large conventions, GPs, or your local game store! Just check off, or put a pin next to the decks you have on you, and you're good to go!

A shirt idea I've had for a while, since I'm the guy that tries to hit up EVERYONE for a game at cons.

JAM OF THE WEEK: "All The Final Fantasy Battle Themes"

So, I'm working on a... thing... and I was looking to get inspired by listening to some old Final Fantasy battle themes during my drive to and from Soul Crushi- I mean, work.

Hey, turns out some of these are pretty good! The only ones I dislike are the Dissidia remixes; they sound like the Watermelon Pizza equivalent of the original songs. Yeah, I'm sure you can recognize it, but how it's put together is just wrong. It's like saying a Pop Tart is a sandwich.

Anyway, some of these are pretty good, Final Fantasy 6 and 10 probably being my favorites. 13 wins the award for "Best Song Despite How Much I Hated The Game"

I don't have a whole lot to say here, it's just a good collection of the best parts of the Final Fantasy games!

STATUS QUO STREAM- TALES FROM THE BORDERLANDS EP. 5

Probably the best Telltale Game and the best Borderlands game?

I might have liked Ep. 4 a tad more, but this ties a nice little bow on everything.

JAM OF THE WEEK: "To The Top" by Twin Shadow

Just put on some headphones, and let yourself fall into this song. I first heard it on Tales From The Borderlands Ep. 4 this weekend, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. The series has always had excellent taste in music, and while this may not fit the wild-west futurey setting of Borderlands, it really packed a punch when it was used. Episode 4 begins with your crew going into space, and the song is so good at bringing forth this sense of awe and makes you determined to get to the climax of this adventure.

Which is then subsided half an hour later by the most ridiculous sequence in a video game I've played.

Jeff: isn't it the Baba O' Reilly chords?

Shut up.

STATUS QUO STREAM: Tales From The Borderlands Ep. 4

The series continues to deliver, and revitalize the old "Teltale Genre Game". It manages to strike a balance between making me care about the decisions I'm making and keeping a light enough tone that I'm not wrecked by them as I was with Fables and The Walking Dead.

Status Quo Sunday Is A Bad Bad Man

NEW CD:
While it's not quite a new album or a Greatest Hits, I am putting together a collection of some of my fandom related songs that I've done throughout the years. A couple of my Magic The Gathering Songs, a couple of my comic songs, one or two tracks from Status Quo Radio, maybe a couple new tracks?

There's still a lot I'm looking into, but leave a comment below for any songs you'd like to see.

THIS WEEK'S JAM:

AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA!

No joke, John Cena is actually pretty good on the mic and sometimes says cuss words. When John Cena wrestles I don't chant "Let's Go Cena!" or "Cena sucks!" I chant "John Cena, I appreciate all the hard work you do, however I feel that your position in the company as the number one guy and said company's dedication to feeling the need to push a number one is detrimental to the status of equally talented wrestlers lower on the card who can provide to be entertaining in other ways"

Really the reason this makes the jam of the week is the music video. All I've seen of the A-Team is through parodies and the movie that came out a couple years ago, so there's not real emotional attachment. Still, I love a group of guys that just says "Fuck it" and makes something 'cause it's fun.

Now, help me out here: John Cena is a bad man and likes the 80's, however, Gary Coleman, who declares himself as part of the 80's, is the real bad man, wanting to destroy the 80's which, keep in mind, he is a part of. I think this was part of his plan to destroy The Chain Gang

Yet, Coleman blows up the 80's, John Cena says "I love it when a plan comes together." But, if The Chain Gang wanted to save the 80's, then why did John Cena celebrate the 80's blowing up? He defeat the Bad Man Gary Coleman, but lost the 80's in the process.

Ask yourself this: WHO IS THE BAD, BAD MAN?

STATUS QUO STREAMING:
This week I'm starting a little bit earlier since now I have a job I'd need to wake up for. As suicide inducing as it is, at least my time will be worth something again.

The stream starts at 8 PM. Normally I won't put up the guitar playing part (unless there's something highlight worthy, but I'll usually put up the recap for the video games):
